Becoming Kings
Becoming Kings Podcast is for any man pursuing greater abundance and fulfillment in life, especially when he knows he’s not living up to his greatest potential. “What does it take to be powerful, purpose-driven and fulfilled?” It means becoming a King. It means doing the difficult work of breaking down the old masculine paradigms and becoming whole, healthy, and trustworthy. In order for men to move into this King energy, they need a guide. A way out of the old ways of being a man of oppression, repression, and aggression and instead, walking a path toward becoming a King; a man of strength, clarity, and fulfillment. This podcast is that guide and it starts here!
How Do You Gauge A Successful Relationship?
Lessons from heartbreak.
My coach, Christine Hassler, recently challenged me to think of failure as a teaching moment. We’re often so quick to jump to placing blame, crushing ourselves with guilt, or finding some way to immediately cope that we forget to learn.
And sometimes when we forget to take a step back and detach from the emotion, we can even learn the wrong lessons. Pain is quite good at leading us to believe what’s not true!
Okay, so how do we get to a place where we can learn? I’ll admit, sometimes it comes later after the pain has subsided and we’re able to think straight again. However, there are some reflection tools we can employ to get perspective in the moment so we can handle it gracefully, while also being in touch with our feelings.
In this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, we’ll be reflecting on learning from heartbreak and finding out what makes a relationship successful (even when it “fails”).
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- Is it all about longevity? (0:54)
- Have you married the wrong person? (4:32)
- You shouldn’t doubt your relationship. (7:51)
- Each relationship can be your best teacher. (11:41)
- Beliefs close you down or leave you open. (15:12)

From Immigrant Sacrifice to Success Story with Robert Radnoti
On Hypnotherapy and cross country.
I’ve always found it fascinating how some of the most motivated people I’ve met happen to be immigrants. They have a knack for grinding, hustling, and plowing through life’s blockades to find success on the other side.
The work ethic hasn’t just fascinated me… It’s been inspiring too! So it’s always a treat sitting down with an immigrant and learning their stories.
This time, Robert Radnoti gets behind the mic to share his life—from banging down doors to collect monthly payments for distributing publications, to becoming an Engineer at Exxon, and eventually becoming the cross country coach and hypnotherapist he is today.
Through all these changes, there’s a fantastic lesson to be learned about seizing opportunity, taking risks, and showing up ready to work. The truth about Robert’s life wasn’t that he just showed up to grind. He always had an angle to work, a way to step to the next level—no matter how far fetched it seemed.
On this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, we’re diving into the life of an immigrant and what it means to do the work we love.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- Robert’s Radness. (1:18)
- Immigrant success story. (9:40)
- Exxon & chemical engineering. (17:43)
- Sacrificing for the bigger picture. (27:24)
- Little to no, family communication. (37:07)

You Must Protect This House
Committed to the process.
Something you may not realize is that where we spend most of our time informs how we come across to others. Whether you spend hours at the gym, or all day outside, you’re bound to look the part.
And with spending your time in specific places, you’ve probably got your rituals and processes—whether you recognize them or not.
“So Johnny, what does that have to do with ‘protecting this house?’”
Glad you asked 😉
Our processes are what guide our lives, and by directly affecting our processes we can alter the results in ourselves. The question, as with most things, is how? It’s easy to sit here and say “Change X or Y!”
The first step in this is recognizing that a change needs to happen, the second step… Well you’ll hear all about it in this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- Take care of your own house. (0:55)
- Creating in the present from the future. (3:55)
- A man’s Code of Kings. (6:52)
- How you do anything is how you do everything. (9:48)
- Become the leader you desire to be. (11:47)

Relationship Trouble? Masculine vs Feminine Explained
Ironing out our energies.
One of the things guys constantly come to me about is relationship problems. And one of the more specific complaints they bring up, one way or another, is the energy imbalance they suffer with partners.
Part of the issue we need to address is this assumption that men have to masculine and women have to be feminine. Truth is, as our society has changed, folks are all over the emotional energy spectrum.
When we resist those natural pulls we start to feel stressed… and it can breed dysfunction in our romantic lives.
Likewise, stress in any form can hopelessly affect our energies in a way that almost always causes relationships to suffer. Yet we also can’t just go back to the old time-y ways of doing masculine and feminine—that’s just not how the world works anymore.
On this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, we’re going to look at the difference between the two energies, how we embody them, and what we can do to help our significant other or future romantic partners get on the same page.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- TWOTSM Intro. (1:34)
- How does stress impact polarity? (5:52)
- Feminine goes Masculine. Masculine goes Feminine. (11:08)
- Sexual neutrality. (16:54)
- Sexual energy test. (22:52)
- You must live on the edge! (28:07)

Where Are You NOT Committed with Townsend Wardlaw
Commitment is the ultimate accomplishment fuel.
If you’ve been a listener for any amount of time, you probably know about “The Secret” or the Law of Attraction… However, what you may not know is that there’s an equally powerful effect called commitment that we often overlook.
I’d even go as far to say that commitment is what really makes the Law of Attraction work. We can spend time visualizing and meditating on the things we want, however at the end of the day we’ve also got to do everything we can to get it.
And my good friend Townsend is a Life Transformation Architect who has cracked the code on balancing these elements in life to live exactly how we desire.
He knows how to get to the heart of everything we want in life.
Whether it’s helping his clients make more money than we’ve EVER seen in our lives, or showing them how to achieve lasting peace and happiness apart from money, Townsend creates lasting change.
With him joining me on this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, we’re going to take an in-depth look at the power of commitment, understanding our motivations, and ensuring we’re aligned with the path of our hearts!
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- Minimizing your own greatness. (1:36)
- $200k for coaching. (12:42)
- What’s getting you there is poisoning you. (27:20)
- What do you desire? (39:38)
- What are you fueled by? (53:27)
- Getting my ass handed to me. (1:06:48)

Ideas to Combat Loneliness
Man’s best friend…
I’ve had animals at a few different points in my life, however I recently just got a puppy. And man, this little guy gives me so much joy!
It’s funny, up until I got him, I didn’t really realize just how lonely it could be living alone like I had been. Loneliness is something we get used to, then realize it hasn’t exactly been the best thing for us, or has spawned bad habits as we cope with it.
As social creatures, we need companions. We definitely weren’t created to hole up in our apartments, talking to nobody, and bottling up the needs that aren’t being met. Perhaps that’s why we even got the idea to take care of animals in the first place.
It’s easy to sit there and neglect ourselves, however it’s much more difficult to ignore the animals that count on us to take care of them. And actually, that’s what’s been on my mind today:
On this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, we’re digging into the nature of loneliness and how we can combat it, from pets to integrating social behaviors.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- Lack of empathy for loss. (1:13)
- Adopting a rescue puppy. (4:26)
- Happy dog. (8:11)
- Giddy-up! (11:16)
- Take action when you’re needing to shift. (14:56)

Why Do “Men’s Work”?
Creating a path of healing.
With so many different men’s coaches out there with different angles and philosophies, I often get the question from my clients “Why do men’s work?”
You may not know this… I used to be a women’s coach. However, in the course of that work I realized that men needed the support just as much. In fact, many men needed “permission” to begin healing.
Turns out that as men we may not even feel like we’re allowed to admit there’s something wrong. So much so that even traditional methods of exploration of pain like counseling aren’t quite enough to encounter and release trauma.
Because of this my answer to “Why men’s work” is something more like…
I’m here to show men all the ways they can heal. From personal growth and coaching, to plant-based medicine and deep personal discovery.
In this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, we’re unpacking why I do this work, and how plant-based medicine can help us heal even more deeply than modern traditional methods.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- Look forward to the interview w/ Brian Yang! (0:49)
- The drive for more never ends. (4:20)
- Working with trained professionals. (7:52)
- You’ve got options. (11:31)
- The journey of progress. (14:56)

The Silent Crisis of Men’s Mental Health with Jennings Hester
The bomb inside all of us.
Unaddressed stress is like a bomb that’s going to explode unless we cut the right wires. The suicide rates in this country are staggering, especially when you consider that MEN are far more likely to go through with it than women.
These self-destructive thoughts and feelings are something many of us have experienced at one point or another… Which is a HUGE problem we often don’t have the right tools to solve, let alone remedy.
When a college football injury ended Jennings Hester’s shot at becoming a football pro, he discovered he’d been using his gifts in life to run away from the blast radius of his stress and mental health problems, rather than facing them head on.
Today, he’s processed much of that pain. Yet, it wasn’t just talking it out with people, it took forging a unique set of tools to manage his stress to ensure that he stayed happy, healthy, and available for all the people he loves in life.
And on this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, he’s going to teach us to discover what works for us, so we can get our stress under control and take control of our lives.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- From Alabama football to Finding Purpose. (1:28)
- It doesn’t matter the background of men. (9:06)
- Dealing with depression and anxiety. (20:31)
- Healing contempt. (30:07)
- The silent crisis of men’s mental health. (39:00)
- Courage through Modern Masculinity. (47:14)

The Masculine’s Greatest Mistake
Exploring the “masculine error.”
As men, we really like to think in safe little boxes.
“When X thing happens, I’ll feel Y emotion.” Problem is, we tend to apply this kind of boxed thinking to our growth and it creates all sorts of dysfunctional thinking patterns that keep us second guessing ourselves.
How many times have you stopped and said “When I achieve my ideal weight, I’ll feel better about myself?” That’s not very strong motivation to achieve anything, brother.
When we fully lean into the masculine nature, we can struggle to be nuanced, multi-disciplined, and drive ourselves forward every single day. Which is why on this episode of the Becoming Kings podcast, we’re going to look at “masculine error” so we can learn how to correct course!
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- The Way of The Superior Man. (1:14)
- Take 15 minutes to change your life. (4:54)
- Stop “One day I’m gonna…” thinking! (9:01)
- Create a lifestyle you can fall in love with. (13:27)
- It’s all about that sand, man. (17:10)

Are You Driven Towards or Away?
The fuel you run on matters.
I have to admit up front…
I run on disappointment. Fearing disappointing myself is a potent motivator, however it’s not the kind of empowerment I need to succeed in the long term. And after talking with a few guys recently, it seems I’m not the only one who operates this way.
What it all really comes down to is drive and the fuel yours runs on.
Thankfully, we’re not like cars where the wrong fuel can ruin our engines permanently. Instead, we’re extremely adaptable and efficient; meaning we can easily change up how we operate by changing our circumstances, coming to terms with how we operate, and making intentional choices to do better.
Then by shifting our focus it’s possible to orient around a “towards” the challenge drive, instead of an “away” from the challenge drive.
If you want to find out how this all works, you’ll have to listen to the latest episode of the Becoming Kings podcast where you’ll be given the tools you need to discover what you’re fueled by and how you can tune your drive to benefit your life.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- How are you motivated? (0:53)
- I’m motivated by disappointment. (3:57)
- Start with a clear action plan. (7:17)
- No wonder we often feel overwhelmed. (10:52)
- Curiosity and “toward” values. (14:16)
- Your next action assignment. (16:17)
