Becoming Kings

Becoming Kings Podcast is for any man pursuing greater abundance and fulfillment in life, especially when he knows he’s not living up to his greatest potential. “What does it take to be powerful, purpose-driven and fulfilled?” It means becoming a King. It means doing the difficult work of breaking down the old masculine paradigms and becoming whole, healthy, and trustworthy. In order for men to move into this King energy, they need a guide. A way out of the old ways of being a man of oppression, repression, and aggression and instead, walking a path toward becoming a King; a man of strength, clarity, and fulfillment. This podcast is that guide and it starts here!

Your Beliefs Determine Who You Become

Analyze your beliefs, change your trajectory.

If you want to be more confident, successful, or improve your relationships, analyze your current state. What do you want your life to be like? How do you want your life to feel?

Living the life you want and being who you want doesn’t require a magic pill. All it takes is the awareness that you’re not where you want to be and the small, consistent action toward the future you. Make the choices your future self would want you to make.

Intention alone isn’t enough. The intention coupled with your behavior and action will create the person, the man, you want to become.

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share the process for becoming who you want to be and the understanding of what it will take to get there. Plus, an inside scoop on my newest program.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Becoming the You, the You you want to be. (0:46)
  • Who are you committed to being? (6:20)
  • Racing an Indy Car Driver. (12:02)
  • The thoughts you believe, determine the man you become. (19:24)
  • The power of clarity, belief and emotion. (26:14)

The 3 Most Common Attributes of the Ultra Successful

Do you over-optimize?

We’ve all heard the advice from the “experts.” Take cold showers. Meditate 10 minutes a day. And while these habits are beneficial for their respective reasons, they won’t make you ultra successful. They might not even bring a 1% change in your life. Behaviors alone won’t create a transformation.

For some, reading books could transform their reality while for others, it’s a misuse of energy. The reality is that everyone is different. Hitting the gym might create a ripple effect across your life while meditation could bring someone else lifelong clarity. It’s up to you to experiment, try everything, and see how you react.

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share the three traits that ultra successful people share. And they aren’t behavioral. Although you can’t follow a blueprint to achieve greatness, you can learn what differentiates them. Give this episode a listen to discover the three traits of greatness.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Making things happen in your life. (0:46)
  • Inflated sense of self-worth. (4:48)
  • Focusing on the greater prize! (10:03)
  • Going against the grain of perception. (14:50)
  • Leaders must rise to the occasion. (18:58)

What’s Better, Lying or Failing?

Decisions you make today affect everything around you.

It’s sort of a cliche at this point. Of course the decisions you make affect everything around you. Yet most of us continue to live on autopilot. We live without thinking about the consequences of our actions. What music we listen to. How much water we drink. Or how active we are.

There always comes a point where we have to make tough choices. And what many of us forget, myself included, is that these decisions occur every day, every hour, and every minute. When you force more urgency and attention on these micro-decisions, it can have an outsized effect. The Butterfly Effect states that a tiny decision can drastically change future outcomes.

What’s most important is being aware of your decisions. You don’t have to become a monk and eliminate all sources of dopamine – just understand how your micro-decisions affect the future.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I discuss one of the most potent examples of decision-making, Madoff, the Monster of Wall Street. Illustrating the dichotomy between lying and failing, Madoff can help us learn what it means to have emotional integrity.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street. (0:46)
  • Rather be a liar than be a failure. (5:19)
  • Win or why even try? (10:14)
  • Your emotional integrity is everything. (14:54)
  • What’s required of becoming a King! (18:51)

What’s Your “One Thing” for 2023

Why do self-audits matter?

Undercover Boss is a show based on the premise that audits are essential to improving business. If you haven’t heard of it, the CEO of a company disguises themself as an “ordinary” person and is trained as an introductory employee. The point is to get an in-depth understanding of workplace relations, how employees treat customers, and what systems are inefficient.

Oftentimes, the CEO learns of significant inefficiencies, problems, and opportunities by observing the business from a different perspective. And it’s no different from a self-audit you can perform yourself at the end of each year, month, or even week. Self-audits aren’t about solving problems. They’re about looking at yourself from a different perspective — which is why they’re so powerful.

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share my tools and process for self-auditing. Additionally, I discuss some of the opportunities I’ve observed in my life and what you can learn from gaining a deeper understanding of discipline itself. Lastly, I share one technique that’s helped crush procrastination.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Time to level up. (0:46)
  • What do you do to avoid & distract? (6:28)
  • Eliminating distractions. (13:19)
  • Setting healthy boundaries. (20:05)
  • What is your “One Thing” that needs to improve? (25:56)

The Secret to Creating Lasting Wealth

Why wealth isn’t what you’ve been taught.

When we hear the word wealth, we often think of monetary wealth and associate it with abundance. And as the holiday season passes, it’s important to remember how wealth applies to everything in your life. It isn’t solely about money. It entails your wealthy and abundant relationships with family and friends. And the relationship with yourself.

Chances are you’ve got something others would want. When envy kicks in about other people’s money, relationships, or discipline, remember that you’ve got it pretty good. And if you truly desire more abundance, understand you’re in a good place. Then, use it as motivation and accountability to strive for what you want.

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share the secret to creating lasting wealth. While the holidays can be challenging for some, it’s still vital to be grateful for what you do have. Your “wealth” isn’t scarce. It’s just one of many perspectives about it.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Cold weather can’t keep us down. (0:46)
  • Breaking out of old patterns. (5:35)

14 Reasons Why NOT to Start a Business!

What do you want out of life?

Often, our lives move by so fast. Time blows past us as we age. Many of us get caught up in our day-to-day and forget to figure out what we desire. We forget to introspect. When we face problems, we flock towards Google to find a solution. Yet what if the problem was fixed by internal examination?

The truth is many of us lack direction, goals, or purpose. We tend to look outward for ideas. For purpose. For goals to achieve. Have you considered doing the opposite?

In entrepreneurship, you must figure out the mind before you can build outward. Without self-direction and goals, it’s challenging to succeed. Where are you aiming? What are the reasons you’re building?

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share the truth about running your own business, the purpose of money, and the pros/cons of buying versus building a business. In addition, I share insight as to when it’s best to hire support and outsource work. If you’ve been on the edge of building your business (or buying), this episode will give you must-needed guidance for success.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Have you dreamed of starting your own business? (1:14)
  • Does a business owner ever work? (7:51)
  • What is the purpose of money? (14:37)
  • Build vs Buying a business: Plus vs Minus. (21:46)
  • When is the right time to hire some support! (29:01)

Fiscally Savage with Dylan Bain

How to build your financial vision.

Your identity is both your greatest asset and greatest weakness. And more often than not, it’s those limiting beliefs that hold you back from achieving greatness. Your vision.

Tom Brady, widely recognized as the G.O.A.T. of football, was drafted in the sixth round. In college, he played second string. Do you think he believed he would make it to the NFL? Or win seven Super Bowls? He’s been quoted as saying, “If you don’t believe in yourself, why is anyone else going to believe in you?”

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I talk with Dylan Bain about crafting your vision, solving financial problems by extracting the roots, and why many men feel lost in life. Creating a vigorous, uncompromising self-identity doesn’t have to elude you. Give this episode a listen to capitalize on every opportunity that comes your way.

In this episode you’ll learn about…

  • From Feelings to being Fiscally Savage. (0:46)

When We’re Not Feeling Worthy of Love

Your heart versus the intellectual.

As men, we tend to gravitate toward logic rather than emotions. Sometimes it’s difficult to explain something intellectually. It’s a feeling to be understood, not something to explain. You “just know” and it’s not logical.

When you’re not feeling worthy of love, it’s a matter of the heart. The same goes for not feeling fulfilled in your profession. And for trauma. The truth is that logic can only take you so far. So how do you use your heart to feel worthy? To attain fulfillment? To alleviate trauma? Understanding.

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I discuss the principles behind understanding your heart and how it leads to more love and abundance. Additionally, I share my framework to weaponize trauma for improvement. This is your opportunity to work on past trauma, present fulfillment, and future love.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Smartless. (0:46)
  • Be careful by how you judge success. (6:34)
  • How we weaponize our trauma. (13:58)
  • How quickly can we recover from our triggers. (20:54)
  • Opening your heart to more love & abundance. (28:24)

How to Increase Lean Muscle Mass

Hitting the gym is simple and complex.

When you begin learning about fitness, the concepts are simple. Lift heavy weights this many times, and your muscles grow. Eat more protein and avoid highly processed foods. Rinse and repeat. At the end of the day, keeping it simple is effective for getting stronger and building muscle.

Although keeping it simple will work, there are several advantages to diving deeper into fitness. Getting lost in the details allows you to optimize every aspect of your body. It’s possible to shred fat and build muscle simultaneously. Or build strength, muscle, and speed. Every variable can be controlled to achieve exactly what you want.

In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share all of the secrets I’ve learned about exercise over the past 20 years. In fitness, there’s always something you can learn. And I discuss the two most important points in this podcast. Regardless of your gym experience, this episode will teach you something you may not have known.

In this episode, you’ll learn…

  • Secrets to increasing your lean muscle mass. (0:46)
  • Triceps are key. (6:06)
  • Being overly lean can be unhealthy. (11:45)
  • Consistency is paramount. (17:12)
  • Lose fat first, then gain lean muscle. (22:27)
