Healing Unresolved Trauma
Answer the thought-provoking questions.
Pent-up emotions often come out when there’s an event in your life that’s emotionally draining. Experiencing loss is one of those troubling ones. It’s one of the most draining, difficult emotions to feel. Sharing with loved ones, journaling, or contemplating are some of the most common coping mechanisms — which are good, not bad.
Right now, you have a choice. You can choose to heal those scars, or let them eat away at your livelihood. The methods are many, yet the concepts are few. What’s most important is that you seek healing. And the choice is all yours.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share the most important part of healing from trauma and how to stop the self-justification that might be holding you back. Suffering from trauma doesn’t have to be a part of your life. I encourage you to seek help and listen to this episode.

Your Opportunity to Find Fulfillment
The need for uncertainty.
Are you aware of the six primal needs? One of those needs is the need for uncertainty. Counterintuitively, we need some form of variety. Some novelty. Something new. As much as we get stuck in routines, habits, and loops, getting that form of discomfort is an integral part of finding fulfillment.
In today’s world, it can be harder than ever to find that uncertainty when we live in a world filled with abundance and certainty. You work your nine to five every week day. You pay your bills every month. You celebrate the same holidays every year. And that means the only way to obtain constant uncertainty is to foster it.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I reveal all six primal needs we have and how they lead to fulfillment. In addition, I share my process for achieving the needs that just seem out of reach at times. If you’re unsure of what you’re actually here for, give this episode a listen and get your needs met.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
- Dialing in your 6 Human Needs. (0:46)
- What am I ACTUALLY here for? (7:00)
- If you’re unhappy, do this! (13:38)

The Path of a King with Terence Carfrae
Seek an understanding, not a knowing.
A common misconception is that other people know the solutions to our problems. And that those solutions will be successful. If you’ve ever tried to replicate someone’s actions hoping for personal success to no avail, it’s clear that it doesn’t work. The truth is that it begins with understanding you.
Understand your desires, anxieties, and needs. Understand where these arise and where they disappear. There’s a clear difference between knowing and understanding. Knowing is purely intellectual. Understanding is a full-body experience, more akin to the heart. It’s a moment of “aha.” And our guest Terrence is an expert in coming to understand your archetypes, personality, and self.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I sit down with Terrence Carfrae to discuss the true essence of men’s work, how you can harness the power of their inner warrior, and the steps you must take to live a life like a King.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- From Bali to Denver. (0:46)
- Stepping into your warrior archetype. (8:29)
- How does a man claim his sovereignty? (20:42)
- The importance of mirroring in men’s work. (29:46)
- Why do men’s retreats and workshops? (36:48)
- The path of a King never ends. (45:22)

Build Upon a Strong Foundation
Living a facade will leave you devastated.
We deal with two universal fears as humans. One of them is the fear of not being loved. Sometimes, in order to obtain that love, we put up a facade. We wear a mask. Because it’s easier to show others that everything is going well. From the outside, your life looks stable, filled with love, and ever-fulfilling. Yet on the inside, it’s a different story.
We tend to wear these masks because something inside of us is missing. Rushing the process of self-worth leads to building yourself on a foundation of sand. Without a strong foundation, a minor insult might knock your self-worth over. How would life be different if it was built on concrete?
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share one of the most important lessons I’ve learned in my years of self-development. In addition, I cover the primary truth about living your life to the fullest and how I’ve overcome low confidence and self-esteem.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
- A firm foundation vs a house of cards. (0:46)
- What type of house are you building? (5:45)
- When the storms come, will you be ready? (11:26)
- It’s time to step up! (16:19)
- What’s the end game? (20:31)

The Importance of Boundaries
Relationships act as a mirror to view ourselves.
Relationships are one of the most beautiful things on this planet. Whether it’s family, romantic, or friendship, relationships are part of our perspective and how we grow. Unfortunately, we often tend to grow apart rather than grow together.
And if you’re struggling with your self-esteem, it becomes easy to be agreeable, compromise in your relationships, and set zero boundaries. Ultimately, that leads to the problem of practicing unhealthy ways of expressing your repressed feelings. So, how do you increase your confidence and reestablish boundaries?
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I illustrate everything I’ve learned through my relationships about setting boundaries. Even if you’re unsure of your boundaries, I share my blueprint for having tough conversations with yourself — which includes some examples of common boundaries, why setting boundaries is essential, and how it can improve your self-esteem and confidence.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
- Thank God for relationships. (0:46)
- The importance of self-esteem. (5:23)
- Being clean of each other’s boundaries. (10:56)
- Relating is the juice of life. (15:49)
- The intimate relationship between boundaries & self-esteem. (20:28)

Courageously Confronting Men with Chris Bale
Be a man worth emulating.
A lot of us have had to look elsewhere for men worth emulating. Whether they’re role models online, mentors at the gym, or your boss at work, we strive to improve ourselves. And the easiest way to do that is by following other successful, ambitious men.
Yet, at some point, following the paths of others will only take you so far. You must decide to forge your own path. Of course, you can continue to look up to others — you can learn from others’ mistakes and obtain fresh insights. Use others as inspiration, and create your own identity. Become another man’s inspiration.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I sit down with Chris Bale to share the Truth about masculinity, how to recondition your mind from past “faulty” programming, and why everyone should stop seeking safety. If you’ve recently been feeling complacent or lost touch with your “why”, make sure to give this episode a listen.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- The ripple effect of poor programing. (1:42)
- The full exposure of men. (12:45)
- The requests of safety. (26:25)
- Confronting truth. (39:55)
- Being with what is. (48:46)

How to Combat Loneliness
A method for achieving bliss.
When faced with daunting feelings like loneliness and anger, sometimes our first inclination is to look for solutions. Maybe it’s asking your friends for their opinions on what happened. Or perhaps it’s thinking about what you could have done differently in that situation. What you’ll eventually realize is that looking for solutions doesn’t produce lasting results.
Oftentimes, the solutions to our problems are embedded within the problem itself. Understanding the problems you deal with is the first step in identifying the root causes. Even the most simple problems of the world, like basic multiplication, start with understanding the problem itself. The same goes for any mental blockade, emotional challenge, or personal issue you face.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share a recent experience in which I felt perpetually lonely. Rather than letting my reaction dictate my future relationships, I used a method rarely discussed among men. Give this episode a listen to find out how.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
- Just another brother on the path towards healing. (0:46)
- Finding greater depths of self-esteem. (6:46)
- Moving energy out of you. (13:53)
- Who’s got MY back? Anyone? (21:02)
- Anything is possible through Love. (27:25)

Strip Your Life of Distraction
Stop wasting your attention.
It’s fascinating to me that we live in an attention-based economy. Rather than exchanging money for products and services, we’re giving away our most valuable resources: time, focus, and attention. All for distraction.
Think about it. Everything vies for your attention. That TV commercial you’re watching, the content on your Instagram feed, and even the people closest to you all want your focus. So many people are quick to give their attention away even though time is our most precious resource. How much could you achieve if ALL of your attention was focused on your goals?
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share some principles about channeling your focus for maximum achievement. As a man, you should be focusing on what you ultimately want out of your life. Sometimes we’re so distracted that we forget about our passions, what makes us fulfilled, and how we’re achieving our goals. Take some time to do that today.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
- JK back in the HOUSE! (0:46)
- Making a voyage back in 1620. (4:18)
- The US is so young comparatively. (9:09)
- What IS boredom really telling us? (13:58)
- Breaking free from the mundane. (18:13)

Lessons Learned from Abroad
Avoid pain and seek pleasure.
In general, humans seek pleasure and avoid pain. Unless there’s a deeper purpose inside us, we won’t do activities that make us feel negative. Ironically, some of our greatest pleasures lead to inevitable pain. Excess eating, drinking, or smoking all increase the likelihood that pain will arrive faster.
Conversely, short-term pain can lead to long-term pleasure. You work out, get sore, and recover stronger. At a certain point, all the hard work and pain you’ve endured turns into pleasure. You feel proud when you look at yourself in the mirror and you’re healthier for it. There’s a power to short-term, non-life-threatening pain.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I share the one big idea that will ensure you make a significant lifestyle change like hitting the gym or quitting drinking. I interviewed many people who all released 100+ pounds and now I share what I learned about their process and what they did differently than others who’d failed.
In this episode, you’ll learn…
- Live, onsite in Athens, Greece. (0:46)
- If you don’t want longevity, no one is forcing it upon you. (5:08)
- It’s now or never brother! (10:22)
- What is your motivation? (14:28)
- Don’t rationalize non-action. (18:42)

Helping Men Find Purpose & Passion with Elise Micheals
The first step is self-awareness.
When attempting to find solutions for emotional instability, past trauma, or addiction, the first step is self-awareness. You must be aware of the problem and willing to solve it. Oftentimes, our solutions aren’t the right ones.
For instance, many people indirectly use alcohol as a way to relieve emotional stress. And those people often think alcoholism is their problem. Yet, they haven’t fixed the root cause of emotional stress. Becoming more self-aware allows you to dig deep into emotional instability. You’ll feel more free, more confident, and more creative.
In today’s episode of the Becoming Kings Podcast, I sit down with Elise Michaels to understand the issues men are burdened by today. If you want to learn specific tactics for becoming self-aware or how to connect with your emotional needs, you need to give this episode a listen.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- Men & Intimacy Challenges. (1:53)
- Connecting with your emotional needs. (12:05)
- The effects of a dysregulated nervous system. (23:35)
- What are you really avoiding in life? (35:05)
- The gym comparison. (45:24)
